Sofwave is an ultrasound-based aesthetic platform. It is a different technology and protocol from Ultherapy or Shurink, so the names and shot counts should not be treated as interchangeable.
Sofwave uses ultrasound to heat tissue in the mid-dermis, the skin layer below the surface. Its SUPERB technology is designed to trigger a remodeling response while cooling protects the surface. This differs from devices that focus energy at deeper tissue levels.
What can it help you address?
Discuss selected facial or neck laxity.
Address fine lines associated with changing skin firmness.
Compare an ultrasound approach with radiofrequency or deeper-focused ultrasound.
Who might consider it?
Your assessment identifies early or moderate firmness concerns.
You are comparing treatment depths and technologies.
You want gradual change with realistic expectations.
Your examination determines suitability; these concerns do not automatically mean you need this procedure.
THE TREATMENT JOURNEY
What happens step by step?
01
Assess skin and area
Review laxity, thickness, previous procedures and the goal for each area.
02
Prepare and treat
Agree on comfort measures before ultrasound delivery with the system’s cooling.
03
Plan review
Record the areas and settings and decide when the developing response should be evaluated.
RESULTS
When might you notice a change?
The intended change is gradual rather than an instant surgical lift. The treatment course and review interval depend on your skin and the proposed protocol.
COMFORT & RECOVERY
What could recovery involve?
Ultrasound delivery can feel hot or uncomfortable. Temporary redness or swelling may occur even when a treatment is described as having limited downtime.
How should you care for the area?
Follow any skin-care instructions for your exact treatment.
Check before combining another energy procedure.
Seek advice for persistent heat, pain, blistering or unexpected swelling.
Follow the written instructions for your exact procedure. Preparation, treatment time and session spacing depend on your selected option.
Sofwave: common questions
Is Sofwave the same as Ultherapy Prime?
No. They use different ultrasound delivery systems and tissue targets. Equal shot counts do not make the treatments equivalent.
Does an eye-area menu option mean every part of the eyelid is treated?
No. The exact anatomical area and appropriate protocol must be confirmed. Ask the clinician to explain the boundaries of the proposed eye-area treatment.
Manufacturer information explains the technology or product. It does not confirm local availability or predict your individual result.
START WITH YOUR CONCERN
What should you discuss first?
Discuss facial or neck laxity, the area that bothers you and previous treatments. Ask why Sofwave is being proposed for that particular concern.
How do we approach the plan?
Our signature lifting menu includes eye-area Sofwave and separate package options by shot count. Confirm the actual area, comfort measures, included care and total price for your option.
What about recovery and travel?
Ask about treatment discomfort, temporary redness or swelling and when a review is appropriate. Your clinician should explain realistic goals and how gradual changes will be assessed.
