Subcision aims to release tethering below selected scars. RF microneedling creates controlled treatment zones at selected depths. Scar type guides whether either or both should be considered.
Which scars need assessment for tethering?
Some depressed scars are pulled down by tissue underneath. Your clinician needs to examine the pattern and depth rather than recommend subcision from a general pore concern.
What does RF microneedling add?
Needling and energy settings are selected for the intended skin response. It does not mechanically release every tethered scar.
Is a combination automatically better?
No. Each added procedure brings a purpose, recovery needs and risk. Ask why a combination is proposed and how the result will be reviewed.
What should you do next?
Use the relevant menu to identify an option, then ask the clinic how it fits your concern, dates and recovery preferences.
